These bellows are made of polyvinyl chloride, PVC or Silicone/Kevlar or Leather. They can be used under temperatures varying between - 30 °C and 200°C. In some cases, they can be classified as food contact, resistant to certain hydrocarbons, etc.
The most popular bellows are black and translucent, other colours are available (red, green, brown, etc.), cylindrical or conical shape, and are manufactured with a ZIP for quick assembly.

Technical Instructions
To facilitate the extension or compression of the bellows, it is necessary to provide one or more vent hole(s), to ensure that the air can be freely evacuated, with or without a filter.

Internal guidances or maintenance skids as well as metal rings can be provided when the bellows are too long and risk rubbing against the part to be protected.
They are specially recommended for a horizontal assembly especially on the ball screws.
Assembly
To facilitate the extension and compression of the bellows, it is necessary to provide a vent. Use neat's foot oil ref RHUILEPB to soften the leather bellows for assembly.
